Grand Geneva wedding with energy and elegance

Megan and Mitch have more than enough energy and positive outlooks to fuel a whole army. This statement is illustrated perfectly in the VERY LAST SCENE of their Sneak Peek video … but more on that further along in this post.

At their Grand Geneva wedding in May, Megan and Mitch were crackling with the energy that comes from marrying the one you love and sharing that moment with family and friends … and their adorable pooch, Yeti. You could see it in their smiles, their unbridled joy. What a joy to film these two formalize the the official start of their family.

M&M met through work, and we loved the way officiant Bradley Schnell revealed their love story in the ceremony with humor and emotion. For instance, everyone laughed, recalling that at one time, Mitch thought the two were on a date, while Megan’s perspective was that they were just in the “friend zone.”

Fast forward a few months, and the mutual attraction was apparent and lasting.

Energy all day

For their wedding, the weather could not have been more beautiful, with overcast skies that kept everyone cool for the outdoor ceremony that morphed into incredible pink and blue just before the reception.

Guests were greeted at the ceremony with a stunning view overlooking the resort’s main lake and golf course, as well as refreshing water, soda and beer in ice-filled tubs, as this couple loves to bring — and be the life of — the party. And speaking of party, M&M hired a live band — Big Al Wetzel Band — for their reception, which is another one of the best ways to crank up the energy and fun at a gathering.

We loved the toast that Megan’s father, Mark, gave at the reception, because it so perfectly described how everyone feels about these two. And so his words are the centerpiece of the Sneak Peek. Mark began by recalling how he had tried and tried — 25 times or so — to write the toast he was to give the night of Megan’s wedding. And yet, as he tried to collect his thoughts, his emotions would get the best of him, and he’d have to take a break. All that contemplation did the trick, though. He began by talking about the spark that Megan has always brought to their family, and how that energy has grown with the addition of Mitch. Perfect.

We also focused on a few words from officiant Brad, who had the crowd laughing and tearing up while telling the broad strokes of their love story. He also artfully ushered the couple through a unique blending ritual, when the two created a Black and Tan drink from a Guinness and Spotted Cow. What a fun, unique and delicious way to signify the joining of two people and families.

Hints and surprises

And what about that hint about their Sneak Peek that we gave at the beginning of this post? Well, if you haven’t watched it already, you must … and all the way to the end. It’s only just over a minute long, so you can handle it!

We can honestly say: We have NEVER seen a bride and groom pull off such an amazing MOVE in their first dance. AH-MAZ-ING!!!

Congrats to the newlyweds, and we hope their Sneak Peek keeps everyone entertained until their full film is done!

Cheers, Cindy
